Problem Statement

The project began with the task of selecting a company name from a provided list, with "Porky Products" being my choice. I started by building a creative brief to guide the design process. The primary challenge was to develop a distinctive brand identity for Porky Products, focusing on crafting a logo mark that would capture the brand's essence. I additionally had to showcase the logo in realistic applications through mockups and compile a comprehensive digital brand guidelines booklet, ensuring a consistent brand identity across the board.

Process

To kick off the branding process, I developed a mood board that visually represented the company's look and feel as outlined in the creative brief. From there, I worked on drafting a cohesive color palette, choosing complementary fonts, and sourcing imagery that would align with the brand's identity. Throughout the process, I received valuable feedback from my professor and peers, which helped refine the brand's direction. Each element of the brand was carefully considered and executed within the project’s timeline, ensuring that the final outcome was both polished and reflective of the brand's personality.

Brand Guidelines

A brand package isn’t 100% complete without a booklet outlining the brand guidelines. This is the secret sauce behind every brand that keeps things consistent across all channels, establishing visual elements such as appropriate logos, colors, and fonts, as well as communication elements like voice and tone.

Conclusion

The final brand identity for Porky Products is fun, eye-catching, and uniquely expressive, perfectly embodying the playful and bold character I envisioned. Working with such a loud and outspoken brand identity allowed me to explore creative avenues and develop a distinctive brand "personality." The project not only resulted in a compelling visual identity, but also reinforced my passion for working with brands that have strong, defining characteristics. I am thrilled with the outcome, and I would love to do more brand work in the future!
