Multidisciplinary Artist & Designer
Hi! I'm Scout, an artist and designer just south of Nashville, TN. I graduated with a BFA in Experiential Design in May 2024. I take a unique approach to design where I marry my experiential background with my passion for creating visual experiences. My primary goal is to understand the audience and needs so that I can create captivating designs that engage the senses. In short, you can consider me a design generalist with an emphasis on creating experiences that captivate.

Experiential Design is described by Belmont as a major “focusing on human-centered design interactions.” The practice extends into public space design, product design, interaction design, and more. My education in Experiential Design builds on two years of foundational art and design courses to build skills in design communications, illustration, painting, layout design, photography, motion graphics, and much, much more.

I consider myself to be a jack-of-all-trades designer, though I was once told that I was more like a master-of-all-trades at a professional portfolio review, and nothing has flattered me more since. Many folks tell designers that they need to find their niche, but I've always found it difficult to fit into just one box. I have a deep understanding and well-developed skillset in several areas of art and design, and I love to overlap my skills, challenge myself, and explore – a true Design Generalist at heart ♥

I aim to do what brings me the greatest fulfillment while also giving back to the world. I want to improve the daily lives of others with captivating visuals and balanced design that deeply considers both form and function. I also want to be constantly improving my skillset along the way – there’s always room for growth. Oh, and I'm trying to afford rent, too.

I am non-binary and prefer they/them pronouns. If you struggle with this, don’t sweat it! At the end of the day, I will answer to anything, but I do love to be seen for who I am. The conversation around the gender binary is still fresh, but I value authenticity and want to work towards a world that sees and values marginalized groups and those who are seen as "other." I am passionate about uplifting queer voices and building a space where everyone can comfortably be themselves.

Hello, Spring 2025! It’s been about a year since I’ve graduated, and I’ve settled into my first full-time job as a member of the marketing team of an apartment management company. That’s a year’s worth of experience making logos, flyers, mockups, billboards, and more! I'm still searching for creative opportunities and connections, so please reach out! Check out my LinkedIn in the footer if you would like to keep up with one another, and don't hesitate to send me a message!
